What is CrossFit?
Constantly Varied
The workouts are always changing. Our specialty is not specializing.
Functional Movement
We focus our training around compound (multi-joint) movements. This includes, but is not limited to olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, kettlebell training, jumping, running, and rowing.
Performed at High Intensity
By performing these movements at high intensity, you’ll not only improve your strength and stamina, but you’ll gain the benefits of a cardiovascular workout. It’s our goal to help you perform them safely, quickly, and efficiently.
Fitness For Everyone
Our program is for the elite competitor looking to get to the next level as well as the novice wanting to get into shape. The CrossFit regimen that we employ is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience.
Transformation Success Story
Posted Member Bianca Lara’s story:

For the last two years, Bianca has been a consistent member of our gym; attending classes on a daily basis and going above and beyond to better herself in the gym and outside the gym as well. At 32 years old, Bianca works in a Catholic Church located in Melrose Park, serving as the secretary office. Bianca first walked through our doors in March 2021, looking for a routine that would finally allow her to push towards her goals she had been trying to accomplish.
I’ve always struggled with being overweight. I always tried methods to lose weight but no success. 6 years ago, I was able to lose about 20lbs by working on my nutrition and attending a local gym, but unfortunately that only lasted like about 4 months. I’m the type of person that gets motivated and try my best to stick to it but getting in the habit of going to the gym consistently was starting to get boring for me, so I lost motivation to continue. When the pandemic came about, I got to a point where I drastically gained a lot of weight.
In December of 2020 my heaviest was 245lbs. At that moment I said to myself ¿Do you really want to surpass 250lbs.? That’s when I decided that I had to do something about it. I gave it another go and tried exercising again and changing my eating habits. CrossFit came across when I had gone to do my nails with Joanna who was attending CrossFit Posted at that time. At the appointment she was providing me with information about how she was attending this class called CrossFit and that it was a good workout. She invited me to give it a go. I went ahead and registered for their tryout class that they offer. The conversation I had with her came at the right time.
Words cannot express how grateful I am for finding out about CrossFit Posted. My thoughts on CrossFit before attending the class were that it was going to be just like a regular gym workout, but I was wrong. It was a much different experience. There are a lot of different movements involved that make you want to learn more. The feeling of getting stronger and better is what made me want to stick to the program. The first six months were tough because my body was not used to lifting weights and all those movements; but the satisfaction of knowing that I was losing weight made the tough days feel worth it.
That first year of attending CrossFit, I was able to lose a total of 75lbs. My biggest accomplishments since starting CrossFit was being able to stay consistent for a long period of time. Never in my life have I been this consistent, but it is all because of CrossFit, for me it is like a second home.
The community and the coaches are amazing!! At this point of my life, I can’t see myself without CrossFit. My focus now is not looking at the scale anymore. I now want to work on gaining muscle, tone up my body so that I’m not left with much loose skin. If someone is looking for a way to lose weight, gain muscle and improve their quality of life, this is it. Not only will you see results, but you will enjoy the process, and stay consistent, because you will never get bored at it instead it will be the opposite you will get addicted to it like me.

What our members are saying:
We joined CrossFit to prepare my daughter for the rigors of the Air Force Academy/ROTC fitness tests. We tried standard gyms but they didn’t have the personal attention and focus on strength we were looking for. After 9 months my daughter is much stronger, can master a pull-up and ready for her fitness exam. This would not have been possible without CrossFit Posted. I now enjoy lifting weights and my doctor recently said she wished more 50+ women would join CrossFit to help keep bones and muscles strong through aging. Posted is more than a gym … the leadership team is nothing short of incredible. These 4 talented trainers are non-judgmental, adapt to all fitness levels, dedicated to making sure safety is #1 and passionate. This is a very special atmosphere and the moments we’ve shared will be remembered for a lifetime. We would do it all over again in a heartbeat! CrossFit Posted has our highest endorsement.

Thanks Posted for making me a better athlete. As a hockey player, strength and endurance are critical. Since starting at Posted, just over a year ago, I have become stronger, faster and an overall better player. Also, I love the environment in the gym; it is the perfect combination of training, support, competition with a touch of social mixed in.

I was a competitive runner dating back to high school, but after suffering a stress fracture I wasn’t able to return to a consistent training plan. After trying to battle back for several years, I needed to find a new outlet to channel my love for fitness. I heard friends talk about the benefits of CrossFit so I figured I would give it a try. Since stepping into Posted nearly two years ago, I have had a life changing experience. Being a smaller guy, getting stronger has always been a challenge for me and Posted has been the solution. In the last year I’ve gained nearly 15 pounds of muscle and have seen drastic gains and PRs in several movements. I’ve never had as much fun working out and love the camaraderie, varied workouts, friendly competition, and most of all, the results – I’m in the best shape of my life!

I came to CrossFit Posted shortly after finishing gymnastics as a way to stay fit and active, without the monotony of going to a regular gym. I also started in the hopes of filling a void that’s bound to occur following 18 years in the sport. After about eight months, the coaches introduced me to competitions, which allowed for a virtually seamless transition from gymnastics to CrossFit. The competitions have given me a chance to set new goals and a way to prove myself outside the gym within the larger CrossFit community.
The coaches at Posted are interested in your individual goals and will work to satisfy them no matter your level of fitness. They are frequently coming up with new ways to add variety to the gym with things like new equipment, classes, or programs. In addition to the coaches, the members at Posted create an environment that makes working out enjoyable. It doesn’t matter if you are setting a PR at 50# or 300#, making your first pull-up or muscle-up, the encouragement and praise you receive is incredible. Whether you are striving to be a Games competitor or to kick up into your first handstand, Posted will get you there, and you will enjoy every workout along the way.

Joining the CrossFit Posted family has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I feel better physically, than I have in a long time. The coaches create an atmosphere that’s conducive to our everyday improvement. They care about our health above anything else. I continue to get healthier and stronger while enjoying the community aspect of our box. I look forward to the challenging workouts our coaches provide us with on a daily basis. CrossFit Posted, to me, is a lot more than a gym.
